Catherine has represented a variety of manufacturers in asbestos and product liability personal injury cases, acting as the lead counsel in consolidated trials involving a variety of plaintiffs. She has extensive experience in litigating asbestos-related cases in the federal and state courts and before a variety of appellate and supreme court bodies.

During her time at Brobeck, Vogel worked on asbestos cases, including those of respondents of the Asbestos Claims Facility in Northern California. The cases files contained SEAR forms (Short encapsulated Evaluative reports) that contained confidential information about plaintiffs. This included medical reports, work histories, and the list of asbestos-related products that plaintiffs used or worked near. Vogel had to have a password in order to access the files. Then, she could review any SEAR forms from her current employer.

The Bowles Rice Asbestos Team, in addition to its vast experience in trial and appellate work, is recognized nationally for its ability to successfully negotiate settlements for its clients. In this capacity, the company collaborates with lawyers representing plaintiffs in the preparation and execution of settlement agreements. Additionally, it has a vast experience in defending companies against appeals.
